Accenture to Acquire CyberCX in Landmark Cybersecurity Deal

In its largest cybersecurity acquisition to date, Accenture has announced an agreement to acquire CyberCX, a leading cybersecurity services provider in the Asia Pacific region. The strategic move will add approximately 1,400 cybersecurity experts to Accenture’s team and significantly expand its presence in Australia, New Zealand, and surrounding markets. This acquisition aims to strengthen Accenture’s ability to support clients in navigating an increasingly complex digital landscape and regulatory environment.

“CyberCX and Accenture share a mission to harness the power of cyber to help our clients securely navigate change, accelerate business reinvention and build resilience against evolving threats,” said Paolo Dal Cin, global lead at Accenture Cybersecurity.

Founded in 2019 in Melbourne, CyberCX has rapidly grown into one of the most prominent names in cybersecurity across the region. The company delivers a wide range of services including security consulting, transformation, managed security services, threat intelligence, crisis response, and advanced capabilities in cloud security, identity management, and offensive security operations.

The deal also brings with it several proprietary innovations. CyberCX offers AI-enabled detection and response platforms, sovereign secure cloud services, and the CyberCX Academy—a training initiative designed to cultivate cybersecurity talent. The company also boasts a suite of specialized tools for cyber testing and intelligence gathering. Its partnerships with industry leaders like Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, and CrowdStrike have positioned it as a top-tier provider of managed services and systems integration.

John Paitaridis, CEO of CyberCX, expressed enthusiasm about the merger: “Joining Accenture’s global cybersecurity organisation enables our exceptional people to combine forces with global capabilities and provide world-leading cybersecurity services to an even greater number of clients across Asia Pacific as we accelerate our growth in the region.”

This acquisition marks a significant milestone in Accenture’s continued global cybersecurity expansion. Since 2015, the company has completed 20 cybersecurity-focused acquisitions, including firms like Morphus in Brazil, MNEMO in Mexico, and Spain’s Innotec Security.

By integrating CyberCX’s regional expertise and innovative offerings, Accenture is well-positioned to further its leadership in helping organizations across the globe build cyber resilience in an era of escalating digital threats.
