Gamma, an AI-powered platform for creating presentations, websites, and social media content, has raised $68 million in a Series B funding round led by Andreessen Horowitz, bringing its valuation to $2.1 billion. The new funding underscores investor confidence in Gamma’s profitable growth and expanding global user base.
According to co-founder and CEO Grant Lee, Gamma has profitably achieved $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and now serves over 70 million users. Lee also noted that the startup had reached $50 million in ARR within its first two years, showcasing a strong trajectory built on sustainable growth rather than aggressive fundraising. Gamma’s previous $12 million Series A round was led by Accel in 2024, marking a steady expansion path in contrast to many fast-scaling AI startups.
Founded in late 2020, Gamma launched its core product in 2022 and has since become one of the most popular AI-driven tools for automated presentation and web content creation. The company’s AI models generate high-quality visual and written outputs, helping users craft professional presentations and posts in seconds. Despite its relatively lean structure, Gamma operates with only about 50 employees, a figure that CEO Grant Lee highlighted as a key advantage in maintaining efficiency and profitability.
The Series B round also included a $20 million secondary offering to provide liquidity to early employees — a move that reflects the company’s confidence in its financial position. Existing investors, including Accel, Uncork Capital, South Park Commons, and Hustle Fund, also participated in the latest round, continuing their support from earlier stages.
Gamma’s careful and measured approach to fundraising has distinguished it from other AI startups that have raised hundreds of millions of dollars in rapid succession. Its ability to reach a double-unicorn valuation with under $90 million in total funding underscores both its product-market fit and the growing enterprise adoption of AI-generated content solutions.
As Gamma continues to scale its platform, the company plans to deepen its AI capabilities across business productivity and communication tools — further solidifying its position as one of the most efficient and profitable players in the AI content generation space.
