On May, French technology company Alcatel launched its new V3 smartphone series in India, comprising three models – V3 Ultra, V3 Pro, and V3 Classic. These devices mark the global debut of Alcatel’s patented NXTPAPER display technology, developed in collaboration with TCL. Designed to reduce eye strain without compromising on vivid visuals, the NXTPAPER display offers a 4-in-1 mode: Regular, Ink Paper, Colour Paper, and Max Ink. These modes enhance readability and adapt the screen for various lighting conditions and content types, delivering a paper-like viewing experience.
As part of its long-term growth strategy, Alcatel is aligning with the ‘Made in India’ vision by localising its manufacturing operations. According to Ansh Rathi, COO of Nxtcell India—the brand’s exclusive partner in India—this move aims to improve supply chain agility, ensure stringent quality control, and support India’s evolving technology landscape.
The V3 series will be available starting June 2 on Flipkart, with attractive launch offers. The V3 Ultra is priced at ₹19,999, the V3 Pro at ₹17,999, and the V3 Classic at ₹12,999. Positioned as the premium device in the lineup, the V3 Ultra features a 6.8-inch NXTPAPER display with dynamic light adaptation. It includes a precision stylus for seamless sketching and note-taking, and comes with a stylish case that holds the stylus. It is available in Hyper Blue, Champagne Gold, and Ocean Grey color options. On the camera front, the V3 Ultra offers a 108 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2 MP macro camera, along with a 32 MP front-facing camera. It also includes Horizon Lock technology for ultra-stable video recording and supports eSIM.
The V3 Pro and V3 Classic models also feature NXTPAPER technology, ensuring a consistent visual experience across the range. Both phones offer up to 18 GB of RAM (including 10 GB RAM expansion), a 5,200 mAh battery with up to 26 days of standby time, and storage expandable up to 2TB. The V3 Pro is available in Matcha Green and Metallic Grey.
