Amazon India has announced the elevation of Anuradha Aggarwal to the position of Director and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). This appointment follows her successful tenure as Director, User Growth and CMO at Amazon Pay, where she played a key role in driving adoption and engagement. In her new role, Aggarwal will lead Amazon India’s brand strategy, marketing initiatives, and consumer engagement efforts, strengthening the company’s position as a market leader in the e-commerce sector.
Aggarwal brings over 20 years of rich experience in sales, marketing, category strategy, and digital transformation across a diverse set of industries. Before joining Amazon, she was an advisor to multiple direct-to-consumer (D2C) startups, guiding them on growth strategy and brand development. Her career features an impactful stint at Disney Star Network, where she managed the P&L for 17 channels, including National Geographic, Disney, Hungama, Star World, and Star Movies, driving growth and audience engagement across varied markets.
Her earlier roles include serving as Chief Marketing Officer at Marico Limited, where she built iconic brands and led strategic marketing initiatives. At Mondelēz International, she worked as Marketing Director – Biscuits (Asia Pacific), shaping regional strategies for well-known products and delivering consistent business results. She also held key positions at Vodafone, spearheading brand and digital marketing campaigns, and at Unilever, where she managed major categories such as Hair Care, Skin Care, and Laundry, gaining deep expertise in consumer insights and brand management.
Aggarwal’s career reflects a strong ability to balance creativity and data-driven decision-making, making her well-positioned to lead Amazon India’s next phase of marketing innovation.
