Amit Agarwal Returns to Full-Time Leadership as Chief Marketing Officer at Croma
Croma has announced the appointment of Amit Agarwal as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), marking his return to a full-time leadership role after a successful stint as a fractional CBO and marketing consultant for high-growth digital-first and D2C brands. Known for his ability to scale businesses at different stages, Agarwal has recently worked with startups across consumer tech, health tech, food, baby care, and ad-tech sectors. Notably, he guided a health-tech startup that secured an “all-shark deal” on Shark Tank India. Alongside, he contributed as a Senior Mentor (Apostle) at T-Hub and as a Mentor with IIM Raipur’s STEM program, helping early-stage ventures accelerate their growth journeys.

With more than 20 years of diverse industry experience, Agarwal has held senior leadership positions at some of the world’s most prominent companies. His career spans Viacom18 Media Pvt. Ltd., Google, Unilever, Jet Airways, and GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare (GSK). At Google, he played a pivotal role in scaling the Mid-Market & SMB Ads business to over $6 billion per quarter, establishing a benchmark for growth in digital advertising. At Unilever, he was instrumental in leading global marketing for iconic brands such as Surf Excel, Pureit, and Blueair, driving category-shaping innovations and spearheading acquisitions across India, China, and other markets.

Agarwal’s work demonstrates a consistent track record of delivering transformative outcomes in brand building, P&L management, consumer marketing, and digital-first strategies. His experience cuts across industries and geographies, reflecting both global perspective and local execution expertise.

Industry observers note that his appointment at Croma comes at a time when the company is entering its next phase of consumer-led growth and digital transformation. With his strong background in scaling businesses, driving innovation, and building customer-centric brands, Agarwal is expected to play a critical role in shaping Croma’s marketing strategy and strengthening its leadership in the Indian retail technology landscape.

His return to a full-time executive role signifies not only a personal milestone but also a strategic advantage for Croma, as it continues to navigate a fast-evolving retail environment where consumer expectations, digital integration, and brand experience are key differentiators.
