
Amit Gupta has been promoted to Vice President, Global Head of ERP Applications at Hitachi Digital, effective March 2026. Based in Noida, he will lead the global strategy for enterprise resource planning while overseeing the architecture, delivery and governance of mission-critical corporate applications across the organisation.
In his new position, Gupta will be responsible for aligning ERP systems with the broader digital agenda of the Hitachi ecosystem. His mandate includes strengthening application governance, driving enterprise-scale ERP initiatives and ensuring seamless integration of digital platforms across global operations.
Prior to this elevation, Gupta served as Senior Director at Hitachi Digital from April 2025 to March 2026, where he contributed to the development and management of enterprise technology platforms and digital initiatives.
Before joining Hitachi Digital’s leadership team, he spent more than eight years at GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group company, where he most recently held the role of Associate Vice President – Engineering from July 2021 to April 2025. During his tenure, he led several strategic transformation initiatives including the implementation of a TSA Exit program and the migration of on-premise infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform. Earlier at GlobalLogic, he served as Director of Engineering from September 2016 to August 2021, focusing on enterprise application architecture and technology leadership across key business functions.
Gupta’s earlier career includes an eight-year leadership stint at EXL Service, where he managed global technology applications and supported enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives. He also held technical roles earlier in his career at Timex Corporation, Sierra Atlantic and Accenture, building strong expertise in enterprise systems and application development.
With over 25 years of experience in technology leadership and ERP transformation, Gupta brings deep capabilities in Oracle E-Business Suite, Workday integrations and ITGC compliance. His career also reflects extensive experience in managing ERP rollouts during mergers and acquisitions, strengthening enterprise application landscapes and driving large-scale digital transformation programs.
At Hitachi Digital, Gupta will focus on advancing global ERP strategies, improving application integration and supporting the company’s broader objective of building a digitally connected enterprise ecosystem.
