Ananth Prabhu has been appointed Chief Growth and Strategy Officer at Marsh, effective March 2026. Based in Chennai, he will lead the company’s strategic expansion, market penetration initiatives, and executive client engagement in India, strengthening Marsh’s competitive positioning in the insurance sector.
With a distinguished 27-year career in insurance and financial services, Prabhu brings extensive expertise in casualty insurance, strategic business development, and performance management. Prior to joining Marsh, he spent over 11 years at Howden Insurance Brokers India Pvt. Ltd., serving as President and Executive Committee Member, and holding earlier leadership roles including Senior Vice President and Regional Head – Vice President. His tenure at Howden was marked by leadership in client relationship management, regional growth initiatives, and organizational performance optimization.
Earlier in his career, Prabhu held a 12-year tenure at ICICI Lombard General Insurance as Assistant Vice President, gaining deep exposure across insurance operations, business development, and client management in Chennai. He began his professional journey as a Franchisee Manager at Kaashyap Radiant, building a foundation in customer-centric business execution.
In his new role at Marsh, Prabhu will focus on driving high-impact growth strategies, expanding market reach, and fostering executive-level client relationships, leveraging his decades of experience in the insurance and financial services industry.
