Angel One has announced the appointment of Sridhar G. as its new Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). With nearly two decades of experience in information security, cyber defense, and risk management, Sridhar will be responsible for shaping and executing the company’s cybersecurity strategy, ensuring trust, resilience, and compliance across its digital-first operations.
Sridhar brings an extensive background in building and leading cybersecurity programs for some of India’s largest enterprises. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President & Head of Information Security at CoinDCX, where he strengthened risk management and defense frameworks for one of India’s leading crypto exchanges. Before that, he was Vice President & Head of Information Security at Flipkart, playing a pivotal role in scaling governance, compliance, and security resilience within one of the country’s biggest e-commerce platforms.
His career also includes over 14 years at Wipro, where he held multiple senior leadership roles, including Chief Information Security Officer and General Manager – Cyber Security. At Wipro, he oversaw enterprise-wide cybersecurity programs and global security operations. Sridhar began his professional journey at Infosys, where he worked as an Analyst in IT Security, laying the foundation for his expertise in protecting enterprise ecosystems.
Over the years, Sridhar has built deep expertise in solution architecture, threat intelligence, data loss prevention, and enterprise security transformation. His leadership has consistently focused on building robust, scalable, and adaptive security frameworks to counter evolving cyber threats in rapidly digitizing industries.
At Angel One, Sridhar will lead the charge in strengthening the company’s cybersecurity posture. With the financial services sector being a prime target for cyber risks, his mandate will be to develop advanced security practices, integrate threat intelligence into operations, and ensure the safeguarding of customer data and trust.
The appointment of Sridhar comes at a time when Angel One is expanding its digital-first offerings, making cybersecurity a critical pillar of its growth strategy.
