JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd has appointed Anil Verma as the new Head of Human Resources, marking a strategic leadership addition to one of India’s prominent cement manufacturing companies. Based at the company’s Sirohi facility in Rajasthan, Verma will now spearhead HR strategy and operations, aligning people practices with business goals.
Verma brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the human resources field, particularly within the manufacturing and infrastructure sectors. His expertise spans key areas such as performance management, employee engagement, talent acquisition, industrial relations, and driving HR practices that are closely aligned with organizational objectives.
He is widely regarded for his ability to integrate HR functions with business strategy, supporting workforce effectiveness and organizational growth. Verma’s deep understanding of labor relations and operational HR makes him well-suited to lead HR efforts at JK Lakshmi Cement, especially given the company’s expansive presence in the manufacturing domain.
Before joining JK Lakshmi Cement, Verma held the role of Cluster HR Head at Ambuja Cements Limited, where he was responsible for managing HR operations across the company’s units in Maharashtra. His role involved overseeing diverse HR functions across multiple plant locations, ensuring consistency and alignment with corporate goals.
Prior to that, Verma was associated with UltraTech Cement, where he held various senior-level HR positions across Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh. During his tenure, he played a vital role in greenfield staffing projects and contributed significantly to long-term labor settlements, strengthening HR frameworks at plant-level operations.
“Anil is recognized for his work in performance management, talent acquisition, employee engagement, industrial relations, and aligning HR with business objectives—particularly in the manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.”
With this appointment, JK Lakshmi Cement is expected to further reinforce its human capital strategies, supporting its growth and operational excellence. Verma’s leadership will likely focus on building a strong HR foundation that promotes employee development, workforce stability, and long-term organizational success.
