Aon has named Joseph C. Peiser as Chief Executive Officer of its Risk Capital business, expanding his responsibilities to oversee the company’s integrated risk and capital capabilities. The appointment reflects Aon’s push to more closely align its risk advisory services with capital solutions amid evolving market dynamics.
Operating from Dublin, Peiser will lead Risk Capital operations across both Commercial Risk and Reinsurance Solutions. In this role, he will continue reporting to Andy Marcell, CEO of Global Solutions. The company also confirmed that it has initiated a search process to appoint a new CEO for its Commercial Risk division.
The leadership transition brings together oversight of one of Aon’s core growth platforms at a time marked by increased market volatility, escalating catastrophe-related losses, and tighter capital conditions. By consolidating leadership across Risk Capital, the firm aims to strengthen its ability to address client needs through a more integrated advisory and capital deployment framework.
Peiser joined Aon in 2021 as Commercial Risk Leader for North America and was elevated to Global CEO of Commercial Risk in 2023. Over his career, he has accumulated more than 30 years of experience across broking, risk consulting, client advisory and executive leadership roles in North America, the United Kingdom and Bermuda. His track record includes spearheading transformation initiatives focused on modernising broking platforms and embedding analytics-driven advisory models to enhance client outcomes.
With his expanded mandate, Peiser will now guide Aon’s Risk Capital strategy across its Commercial Risk and Reinsurance Solutions businesses, positioning the firm to respond to increasingly complex risk landscapes while maintaining disciplined capital alignment.
