Aparajita Puri has been appointed as Managing Director, India & South Asia at Microsoft. In this role, she will oversee the company’s strategic direction, business growth, and overall operations across the region, further reinforcing Microsoft’s presence in one of its most important global markets.
She joins Microsoft after a long tenure at McKinsey & Company, where she spent over 11 years and most recently served as Partner. During her time there, she advised organizations on strategy, transformation, and business growth, working closely with leadership teams across industries.
Over the course of her career at McKinsey, Puri progressed through multiple roles, including Associate Partner, Engagement Manager, Associate, and Junior Associate, gaining extensive experience in consulting and strategic problem-solving across diverse business environments.
Earlier in her career, she was associated with Bain & Company, further strengthening her expertise in advisory and business strategy. She also completed a summer internship at Deutsche Bank, where she gained early exposure to the financial services sector and investment banking.
With a strong background spanning consulting, strategy, and transformation, Aparajita Puri brings a well-rounded perspective to her new role. Her appointment reflects Microsoft’s continued focus on driving growth, innovation, and market expansion across India and South Asia.
