
Avtar Ram Singh has been elevated to Head of International Marketing for the App Store, Apple Arcade and Games at Apple, marking a significant step in his global leadership journey with the company. In this expanded role, he is responsible for shaping international marketing strategy across some of Apple’s most widely used consumer platforms, with a focus on driving global growth, deepening developer and user engagement, and influencing how users around the world discover apps and games across Apple’s ecosystem.
Before this elevation, Avtar led marketing for Southeast Asia, Content and Services at Apple, where he oversaw regional initiatives across services including Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and Apple Fitness+. His work in this role involved building market-specific strategies for content and services adoption across diverse, high-growth geographies.
Avtar’s professional journey spans digital marketing, strategy, content, and data-led growth across global markets. He began his career as a market analyst at International Data Corporation, before moving into content and strategy roles at Lazada, Zalora and Rocket Internet. He later joined Ogilvy & Mather as a digital marketing manager, strengthening his grounding in brand-led digital execution.
He subsequently moved to Publicis Groupe, where he progressed to Head of Social and served as business lead for Publicis Communications’ social media practice in Singapore. In this capacity, he was responsible for operations, delivery, client relationships, hiring, business development and financial performance. He led teams delivering social strategy, content and analytics for clients across local, regional and global markets, while also playing a key role in building processes, templates and ways of working for audits, reporting and content planning.
During this time, he spearheaded new business proposals and ensured teams remained aligned with evolving platform formats and capabilities.
Following his tenure at Publicis, Avtar joined Falcon Agency as Head of Strategy, before moving to Apple as interim international marketing lead for apps and the App Store. His elevation builds on this trajectory of leading large, multi-market marketing initiatives at the intersection of content, platforms and technology.
Across his career, Avtar has worked with a wide range of global brands including Accor, P&G, AXA, UBS, Audi, Nikon, HBO, Sony, Samsung, Pizza Hut, Nespresso, Vicks, Oral-B, Sofitel, Canon, Singapore Zoo and the Ministry of Manpower, among others.
