With a career spanning over 21 years at RIL, Narain brings deep cross-functional expertise in human resources, business leadership, and operational excellence, making him well-positioned to drive transformative talent strategies across large-scale manufacturing and technology ecosystems.
Throughout his journey at Reliance, Narain has successfully led several high-impact HR portfolios across diverse verticals such as Refining, Petrochemicals, Polyester, R&D and advanced Technology. He has served in leadership roles including Vice President and Head Rewards – Hydrocarbons, Vice President Human Resources in the CHRO’s Office, Head of HR for the Hoshiarpur Manufacturing Division, Head HR, IR & Admin for Barabanki Manufacturing, and Head Talent Acquisition for Reliability, Engineering & Maintenance within Group Manufacturing. His contributions have been vital in building a strong talent infrastructure that supports both legacy strengths and new-age innovation at India’s largest industrial enterprise.
His experience extends beyond core HR responsibilities, having overseen Global Mobility, Expatriate and Leadership Compensation, and Organizational Development within Retail IT. This exposure to multiple business environments has given him an in-depth understanding of the talent requirements necessary to maintain competitiveness in rapidly evolving global markets.
Narain began his professional career with Reliance as a Maintenance Manager across Gujarat and Maharashtra, gaining firsthand exposure to plant operations and workforce dynamics. This early grounding in engineering and manufacturing equipped him with a solid appreciation for the operational challenges and skill requirements that define large industrial setups. Over the years, he translated this practical experience into strategic human-capital leadership, enabling him to align talent priorities with business growth agendas.
