Bengaluru-based Assessli has announced the launch of the world’s first Large Behavioural Model (LBM), positioning itself at the forefront of next-generation artificial intelligence. Unlike conventional AI systems that primarily analyze digital footprints, Assessli’s self-supervised model integrates genomics, neuropsychology, medical history, physiological signals, and real-time behavioural data to deliver hyper-personalised outcomes.
Founder and CEO Suraj Biswas explained the motivation behind this innovation, saying, “Current AI models don’t understand your adaptive data points, human behaviour. They don’t have a biological context like your medical history, genomics, mood, mind, neuropsychology. Without mapping adaptive behaviour, AI remains generic, failing to evolve with individuals in real time.”
The LBM works by collecting information from a wide spectrum of sources, including wearable devices, apps such as Apple Health and Google Fit, environmental sensors, and even biological samples. This diverse dataset allows the AI to adapt continuously, creating unique user profiles that evolve over time. With more than 150,000 active users and 20 million proprietary data points already gathered, Assessli is setting ambitious goals to scale this figure to over a trillion data points within the coming years, opening applications across healthcare, education, and financial services.
In the education sector, Assessli is already demonstrating practical use cases. Biswas highlighted, “We are automating tasks like question generation and evaluation based on behavioural profiles. Teachers can group students according to strengths and weaknesses, enabling tailored learning pathways even in low-resource environments.”
Alongside personalisation, Assessli has placed a strong emphasis on security and efficiency. Its systems use encrypted, edge-computed signals that reduce dependency on GPU-heavy infrastructure while maintaining high performance. As Biswas noted, “DNA stays local… differential privacy adds noise to population stats… every query is mapped to a consent bit.” This ensures that sensitive biological data is safeguarded even as the AI delivers highly adaptive responses.
Supported by the Indian Statistical Institute, multiple angel investors, and a $5 million seed funding round, Assessli is expanding internationally, with active integrations underway in the UK and US across various B2B platforms. The company’s roadmap includes scaling its user base to over one million by 2027.
By moving beyond simple Q&A-based systems, Assessli envisions a new era of AI that understands not just the question but the human asking it—a step toward deeply personalised, behaviour-driven intelligence.
