Atlassian has launched a new suite of visual AI tools and third-party agents within its collaboration platform Confluence, aiming to transform how teams interact with data, documents, and workflows. The move reflects the company’s broader push to embed AI directly into everyday enterprise tools.
At the core of the update is a new visual feature called “Remix,” currently in open beta, which allows users to convert information stored in Confluence into visual assets such as charts and graphics without leaving the platform. The tool can automatically suggest the most suitable format for the data and generate visuals instantly, eliminating the need for external applications.
In addition, Atlassian has introduced three third-party AI agents that operate directly within Confluence using Model Context Protocols (MCP). These agents integrate with platforms like Lovable, Replit, and Gamma to extend functionality beyond documentation. They enable users to transform ideas into working prototypes, convert technical documents into starter applications, and generate presentations or slides—all from within a single workspace.
Highlighting the impact of these features, Atlassian’s teamwork collaboration head noted that with these tools, “a single page becomes the starting point for whatever comes next,” whether it is building a prototype, crafting a narrative for leadership, or creating customer-facing materials.
The launch underscores a key shift in enterprise software, where platforms are evolving from static documentation tools into dynamic, AI-powered work environments. By integrating visual generation and agent-driven workflows directly into Confluence, Atlassian is positioning its platform as a central hub for both human collaboration and AI-assisted execution.
