
New Delhi, India : Aviva India, one of India’s leading private life insurance companies, recently announced the appointment of Rajesh Shankar Dhane as its Chief Legal and Compliance Officer.
Rajesh brings with him over two decades of rich experience across the insurance and financial services sector, with deep expertise in legal strategy, regulatory affairs, compliance, litigation management, and corporate governance. He has held senior leadership roles at some of India’s leading insurance organisations including SBI General Insurance, Tata AIG Life Insurance, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, HDFC ERGO General Insurance, and most recently ACKO General Insurance.
In his new role, Rajesh will lead Aviva India’s legal and compliance function, strengthen governance frameworks, manage legal and regulatory risk, and support the company’s strategic growth priorities while fostering a strong culture of ethics and compliance.
