In a landmark collaboration set to shape the future of commercial space exploration, Axiom Space has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India’s leading private space launch company, Skyroot Aerospace. The partnership aims to jointly explore opportunities in low-Earth orbit (LEO) missions, research payloads, and commercial infrastructure including the Axiom Station — the world’s first private space station under development.
The announcement closely follows the successful Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) launch on June 25, which included India’s first human mission to the International Space Station conducted by a private operator — a historic milestone led by Axiom Space.
Skyroot Aerospace, best known for launching India’s first private rocket, Vikram-S, in 2022, is now on the cusp of its first orbital-class launch with Vikram-1. This partnership opens doors for integrated solutions spanning orbital data centers, scientific missions, and payload deliveries to Axiom’s upcoming orbital infrastructure.
