Beyond Appliances Secures $4 Million in Series A to Accelerate Smart Kitchen Innovation in India

Bengaluru-based smart kitchen appliances startup Beyond Appliances has raised $4 million (approximately ₹34 crore) in its latest Series A funding round, led by existing backer Fireside Ventures, with additional participation from Dharana Capital. This round follows a previous $2 million raise in November 2024, also spearheaded by Fireside.

Founded in 2024 by Eshwar K Vikas and Rakesh Patil, the company focuses on building intelligent, tech-enabled kitchen appliances designed specifically for Indian households. Its product line includes smart stoves equipped with digital timers and whistle counters, as well as Android-powered chimneys that allow users to stream content, listen to music, set reminders, and maintain grocery lists—all through integrated apps. The portfolio also features plug-and-play chimneys and smart hobs.

Currently, the startup operates four manufacturing facilities in Bengaluru, producing around 8,000–10,000 units monthly. To meet growing demand, Beyond Appliances plans to establish two more factories by the end of FY25.

Co-founder and CEO Eshwar K Vikas emphasized the company’s mission:

“From everyday essentials to smart, tech-driven innovations, our mission is to make high-quality, beautifully designed appliances the standard in every home, not a privilege for a few. As we expand our manufacturing backbone, scale operations, and bring innovative products to market at an accelerated pace, our vision is to create a category-defining brand that reimagines home and kitchen experiences for millions of households across India.”

The company estimates the combined Indian chimney and stove market at around $2 billion. While stove adoption is growing at a moderate 10% annually, chimney usage is surging at 25% CAGR, driven by increasing consumer interest in premium, feature-rich products. Beyond Appliances is banking on this premiumisation trend, noting a rising demand for digitally integrated and safety-enhanced solutions.

Currently, 80% of its sales are online, with metro and tier-I cities contributing about 60% of overall demand. The brand sells via its own website, Amazon, Flipkart, and select offline outlets in Bengaluru and Hyderabad, with plans to enter Mumbai and Delhi soon through partnerships with large-format retailers.

Suchi Pandya, Principal at Fireside Ventures, added:

“Beyond Appliances has carved out a distinctive position in a highly competitive market by delivering both product excellence and consumer trust. […] We believe the brand is perfectly poised for long-term growth.”

The company currently boasts an annual revenue run rate of ₹50 crore, which it aims to double within the next year.
