Bhargav Purohit has been appointed as Vice President at BlackRock, marking a key milestone in his financial services career.
In his new role, he is expected to contribute to the firm’s investment strategies by leveraging his expertise in quantitative analytics, financial modelling, and data-driven insights.
Prior to this, Purohit spent over 18 years at Nomura, where he held multiple leadership roles across Mumbai and Tokyo, including Vice President and Senior Associate. During his tenure, he developed strong capabilities in exploratory data analysis (EDA), statistics, and quantitative analytics, playing a significant role in delivering data-led solutions.
He began his professional journey at Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy as a developer, building a strong foundation in analytics and technology that supported his progression in the financial industry.
With deep experience across global markets and a strong analytical background, Bhargav Purohit is well positioned to strengthen BlackRock’s data-driven investment capabilities and support its global financial operations.
