Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced the appointment of Bhawna Agarwal as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for its India operations, effective immediately. She will report directly to Heiko Meyer, Executive Vice President and Chief Sales Officer at HPE.
Agarwal takes over from Som Satsangi, who is retiring after over 27 years with the company. To ensure a smooth leadership transition, Satsangi will continue in an advisory role until the end of July 2025.
Agarwal joined HPE in 2019 and has since led the Compute Business Unit and Growth team. Most recently, she was heading Account Management and Industry Verticals for India. With over 25 years of experience across digital start-ups, media, and consumer technology, she brings a broad and strategic perspective to the role.
Heiko Meyer praised Satsangi as a dedicated and insightful leader, noting his legacy of customer focus and sales excellence. “While we will miss Som’s presence in our global sales leadership, Bhawna’s customer-centric approach, strategic mindset, and leadership style position her well to lead HPE India into its next phase of growth,” Meyer stated.
Satsangi began his journey with Compaq in 1997 and transitioned into HP after the 2002 merger. Rising through sales leadership roles, he became Managing Director of HPE India in 2016, overseeing the company’s second-largest employee base and delivering consistent performance milestones.
On her new role, Agarwal expressed enthusiasm: “It’s a privilege to step into this position and build on the strong legacy established by Som. I’m excited to work alongside our talented teams to scale innovation, deepen customer value, and drive HPE India’s growth trajectory.”
With Agarwal at the helm, HPE India looks to strengthen its market leadership while continuing to deliver impactful solutions across sectors.
