Mandar Ghatnekar has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer at Biocon. In this role, he will lead the company’s technology strategy, focusing on advancing digital capabilities and strengthening innovation across its operations.
Ghatnekar transitions into this position from Biocon Biologics, where he served as Global Head of IT & Digital Transformation. During his tenure, he led enterprise-wide digital initiatives and drove the adoption of emerging technologies to enhance operational efficiency and support better patient outcomes.
With over two decades of experience in enterprise technology and digital transformation, he has built and scaled large technology capabilities while delivering complex transformation programs across global organizations.
Prior to his time at Biocon, he held leadership roles at Accenture, where he served as Managing Director and led large-scale delivery teams for global clients, particularly within the life sciences sector. He also gained experience working with Johnson & Johnson, further strengthening his expertise in healthcare and technology integration.
Known for his deep capabilities across cloud, data, and life sciences technology, Mandar Ghatnekar brings a strong strategic and execution-driven approach to his new role, supporting Biocon’s continued focus on innovation, efficiency, and technology-led growth.
