Chiratae Ventures has introduced Sonic DeepTech, a rapid funding initiative aimed at accelerating early-stage frontier technology startups with commitments of up to 2 million dollars per company. Positioned as a fast-track route for founders building in applied AI, ML, energy, climate, robotics, quantum, defence, medtech, space, and advanced manufacturing, the program is designed to dramatically shorten the investment timeline. The firm stated that Sonic DeepTech will target investment decisions within 48 hours, while offering founders access to specialised domain experts, corporate partners, and ecosystem enablers to help them transition products from research environments to commercial markets.
Chiratae highlighted that it has already invested over 200 million dollars across more than 50 deeptech startups, demonstrating a long-term commitment to frontier technology. Its deeptech portfolio features companies such as Pixis, AgniKul Cosmos, Aether Biomedical, Pando, Cavli Wireless, SigTuple, HealthifyMe App, and Metadome.ai, covering sectors including AI, robotics, spacetech, supply chain software, medical devices, and wireless communication systems. Collectively, these companies have filed over 180 patent applications and secured more than 130 granted patents, reflecting the strong IP-led foundation the firm has supported in the ecosystem.
With more than 1.3 billion dollars in assets under management and over 130 startups backed since inception, Chiratae Ventures has established a broad investment footprint across consumer, enterprise, healthtech, and deeptech sectors. Its wider portfolio includes well-known unicorns and category leaders such as Flipkart, Lenskart.com, Myntra, FirstCry.com (BrainBees Solutions Ltd.), Policybazaar.com, and AgroStar. Against this backdrop, Sonic DeepTech represents the firm’s next major step to energize frontier innovation, offering founders both capital and speed at a stage where rapid iteration is critical.
By combining swift decision-making with access to technical expertise and industry collaborators, the Sonic DeepTech program seeks to further strengthen India’s deeptech ecosystem and accelerate the journey from cutting-edge research to market-ready products.
