CrowdStrike has named Jonathon Dixon as vice president and managing director for its Japan and Asia Pacific (JAPAC) theatre, reinforcing the company’s commitment to accelerating AI-led cybersecurity adoption across the region. With more than 25 years of experience in cybersecurity and enterprise IT leadership, Dixon steps into the position at a pivotal moment for organisations navigating increasingly complex, AI-enabled threat environments. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving growth throughout JAPAC and deepening enterprise adoption of the CrowdStrike Falcon® platform, particularly as businesses modernise security architectures to address automation-driven attacks and expanding digital ecosystems.
The JAPAC market has become a focal point for global cybersecurity providers. As enterprises shift away from fragmented, legacy security stacks that struggle to counter modern threats, demand is rising for consolidated, cloud-native protection models designed to keep pace with digital transformation and AI expansion. Dixon brings deep regional expertise spanning Japan, Asia Pacific and Greater China. Prior to joining CrowdStrike, he served as vice president and managing director for Japan and Asia-Pacific at Verkada, where he led go-to-market and operational strategies that expanded the company’s presence across the region.
His appointment comes as enterprises throughout JAPAC accelerate cloud migration, AI deployment and broader digital transformation programs—strategic shifts that expand organisational attack surfaces while demanding more agile, intelligence-driven security capabilities.
Michael Sentonas, president of CrowdStrike, described the region as central to the company’s forward growth strategy as businesses adapt their security postures for the AI era.
For CrowdStrike, the strategic objective is to extend the footprint of its AI-native Falcon platform among organisations transitioning from legacy-based security frameworks to unified, cloud-delivered protection models.
Dixon positioned the opportunity against the backdrop of a rapidly shifting cyber threat landscape.
“CrowdStrike is leading cybersecurity in the AI era, delivering the game-changing technology that organizations throughout JAPAC need to secure a rapidly evolving threat landscape,” he said. “I am thrilled to be joining CrowdStrike as the company continues to revolutionize cybersecurity and define AI-native platform protection.”
Sentonas further emphasised the importance of leadership continuity and expansion in the region.
“Under Jonathon’s leadership, we will continue to expand our presence across the region and support more organisations in strengthening their security posture, as traditional approaches struggle to keep pace with today’s threat landscape,” he added.
As artificial intelligence reshapes enterprise operations and enhances adversary capabilities, the appointment underscores how cybersecurity vendors are increasingly positioning themselves not only as technology providers, but as long-term strategic partners guiding organisations through transformation in one of the world’s fastest-evolving digital security markets.
