Cummins India Limited has announced the appointment of Ms. Soma Dilip Ghosh as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Key Managerial Personnel of the Company, effective July 21, 2025, upon her joining. The decision was approved by the Board of Directors following recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee as well as the Audit and Compliance Committee.
Mr. Prasad Kulkarni, who currently holds the position of Interim CFO and Key Managerial Personnel, will step down from his interim role on the date Ms. Ghosh assumes office. However, he will continue to serve as Director – Finance Controller for the Distribution Business Unit (DBU) – India within the company.
Ms. Ghosh brings with her over 28 years of comprehensive experience in finance, accounting, auditing, mergers and acquisitions, risk management, restructuring, and compliance. She holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Pune University and is a Qualified Cost and Management Accountant. Additionally, she has completed the Management Education Program from the Indian Institute of Management with a focus on General Management.
Prior to this appointment, Ms. Ghosh served as the Head of Finance for ZF Group, Region India. During her tenure, she led the integration of Governance, Risk, and Compliance into routine operations.
She is also credited with leading the company’s digital transformation in finance processes and implementing best practices that were adopted across other regions.
Before her role at ZF, Ms. Ghosh had previously worked with the Cummins Group and began her career at Atlas Copco.
With this strategic appointment, Cummins India aims to strengthen its financial leadership as it continues to pursue innovation and operational excellence.
