Deloitte Launches AI Infrastructure Centre of Excellence in Mumbai and Bengaluru

Global consulting leader Deloitte has inaugurated a dedicated Artificial Intelligence (AI) Infrastructure Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Mumbai and Bengaluru to support enterprises worldwide in building and operating specialized AI data centres. The initiative aims to provide a robust foundation for scaling generative and agentic AI solutions, enabling organizations to accelerate AI adoption while managing cybersecurity and operational challenges.

“AI infrastructure differs significantly from traditional CPU-based data centres, requiring higher power, denser racks, liquid cooling, and sustainable energy sources. India’s depth of talent and cost advantage make it an ideal hub to drive this global transformation,” said S. Anjani Kumar, Partner, Deloitte India. The CoE leverages India’s strategic advantages, combining Mumbai’s established data centre ecosystem with Bengaluru’s rich pool of skilled technology professionals.

The Centre of Excellence is part of Deloitte’s Silicon2Service AI factory-as-a-service initiative, which spans the entire AI stack—from silicon (GPUs) to enterprise-ready AI solutions. It delivers end-to-end services, including strategy, design, implementation, and operations, helping businesses optimize costs, manage cybersecurity risks, and scale AI infrastructure efficiently. Deloitte has already begun assembling specialized teams across simulation, solution architecture, data centre design, and cybersecurity to support its global client base.

“AI adoption is reshaping industries, and infrastructure is the backbone enabling scale. This CoE establishes the foundation for the future of intelligent enterprise infrastructure,” said Romal Shetty, CEO, Deloitte South Asia. By providing enterprises with advanced AI infrastructure capabilities, Deloitte aims to empower organizations to develop more sophisticated AI models, deploy agentic AI solutions, and leverage the benefits of next-generation technologies.

The launch of the CoE reinforces India’s growing role as a global hub for AI innovation. With the combination of strong infrastructure, skilled talent, and cost efficiency, Deloitte is positioning the country as a key player in supporting the development of AI solutions that can transform industries worldwide. The initiative highlights Deloitte’s commitment to advancing AI adoption while ensuring secure, sustainable, and scalable infrastructure solutions for the next era of enterprise technology.
