Dr. Anish Desai, MD, FCP, PGDHEP, is the Founder and CEO of IntelliMed Healthcare Solutions, a Singapore-based medical affairs organization established in 2019 with active operations across Southeast Asia, India, and Europe. With a career spanning more than three decades, Dr. Desai has held leadership roles in several globally renowned and Indian pharmaceutical companies, driving innovation in medical affairs, clinical research, regulatory operations, and pharmacovigilance. His leadership has contributed significantly to the registration and launch of nearly 30 molecules in India, along with building robust compliance frameworks and advancing patient safety across multiple therapeutic domains.
Over the years, Dr. Desai has been associated with prestigious organizations such as Johnson & Johnson, Bayer, Bristol Myers Squibb, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Unichem Laboratories Limited, UCB, Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, and J. B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals. His vast experience in both global and domestic pharmaceutical ecosystems has positioned him as a trusted leader in shaping strategies that balance scientific advancement, regulatory compliance, and patient-centric care.
Beyond his corporate journey, Dr. Desai has made a lasting impact in academia. He currently serves as Honorary Professor of Pharmaceutical Medicine at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and has also taught at King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth G.S. Medical College, inspiring the next generation of medical professionals. His academic achievements are supported by a strong educational foundation: an MBBS from Grant Medical College, an MD in Clinical Pharmacology, a Fellowship from the American College of Clinical Pharmacology, and a postgraduate qualification in health economics and policy from PGI Chandigarh.
Dr. Desai’s contributions have been recognized both nationally and internationally. He has authored over 200 publications and is the recipient of multiple prestigious honors including the Maharashtra Gaurav Award, the U.K. Sheth Award, and the Charles R. Ream Award for Excellence. Adding to his recognition, he was named among the “Best Doctors in Mumbai” by India Today for four consecutive years.
