
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has appointed Dr. Rajesh Mohata as its new Chief Procurement Officer, marking a key addition to the company’s senior leadership team. This appointment comes at a crucial time as AM/NS India prepares for major expansion and transformation initiatives aimed at driving large-scale growth.
Dr. Mohata previously led the company’s Strategic and Growth Projects Procurement, where he oversaw sourcing activities for both brownfield and greenfield projects. Under his leadership, the company achieved significant improvements in sourcing efficiency, cost optimization, and overall supply chain robustness. “His initiatives strengthened sourcing efficiency, optimized costs, and improved supply chain resilience.”
With a proven track record in handling complex procurement operations, Dr. Mohata brings a wealth of experience to his new role. Before joining AM/NS India, he held various senior roles across leading industrial and energy conglomerates, including Jindal Lifestyle Limited, Cairn Oil and Gas, Adani Enterprises Limited, and the Vedanta Group.
Notably, during his tenure as CEO and Executive Director of Jindal Lifestyle, he played a transformative role in reshaping the company’s business strategy. “As CEO & Executive Director of Jindal Lifestyle, he steered the company into a design-led, consumer-focused business, reflecting his versatility and leadership vision.”
