Toshiyuki Suzuki has taken over as President and Chief Executive Officer of FANUC India Pvt. Ltd., where he will lead the company’s next phase of growth with a strong emphasis on expanding its footprint across the country. His leadership will focus on strengthening market presence, enhancing customer engagement, and accelerating the adoption of industrial automation solutions within India’s manufacturing sector.
He succeeds Yuki Kita, whose tenure from 2023 to 2026 laid a strong foundation for the company’s growth in the region. Building on this momentum, Suzuki steps into the role with a clear mandate to extend the reach of automation technologies deeper into India’s industrial ecosystem.
Bringing extensive experience from within FANUC Corporation, Suzuki offers a global perspective along with deep expertise in robotics and factory automation. His appointment aligns with the company’s broader strategy to scale operations, expand across key industrial clusters, and support the transformation of India’s manufacturing landscape through advanced automation technologies.
Under his leadership, FANUC India has outlined a comprehensive roadmap aimed at positioning India as a global manufacturing hub. A key focus area includes the development of next-generation Technology Development Centers, which will evolve regional offices into advanced incubation hubs for real-world proof-of-concept testing.
The company also plans to strengthen its service network to ensure maximum uptime for customers, with a particular emphasis on reaching Tier-2 and Tier-3 industrial clusters through faster response capabilities. Another priority is making automation more accessible to small and medium enterprises by introducing flexible robotics and collaborative robot solutions, enabling them to compete on a global scale.
In addition, FANUC India aims to deepen its focus on Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) by integrating smart data analytics to enhance operational intelligence across manufacturing environments.
“Our expansion is about elevating the intelligence of Indian manufacturing from the ground up—from large-scale industries to regional MSMEs.” — Toshiyuki Suzuki, President & CEO
With this strategic direction, FANUC India is set to play a key role in advancing automation adoption and supporting the evolution of a digitally enabled, globally competitive manufacturing ecosystem in India.
