Singapore-based fintech company FOMO Pay has launched its AI-powered Soundbox, a compact payment device designed to unify multiple payment methods into a single terminal. The product enables merchants to accept card payments, QR codes, e-wallets, and even stablecoins through one device, addressing the growing complexity of modern payment ecosystems.
The Soundbox is positioned as a “single point of acceptance,” allowing businesses to manage both traditional (off-chain) and emerging (on-chain) payment methods without requiring multiple systems or integrations. Each transaction is confirmed in real time through audio notifications, improving visibility and efficiency at the point of sale.
Beyond payments, the device is designed as a foundation for AI-driven business intelligence. FOMO Pay is building an AI layer that will allow merchants to analyze transaction data, identify patterns, and generate actionable insights to improve decision-making. This aims to transform the device from a simple payment terminal into a smart business tool.
The company is also exploring capabilities that would enable merchants to interact with their data through natural language, making it easier for small and mid-sized businesses to access insights without requiring technical expertise.
Commenting on the launch, founder and CEO Louis Liu highlighted the broader shift in commerce, stating that AI agents are increasingly becoming active participants in transactions, requiring more intelligent and adaptable payment infrastructure.
The launch reflects a larger industry trend where fintech companies are moving beyond payment processing toward integrated platforms that combine transactions, data, and AI. By bridging traditional and next-generation payment systems, FOMO Pay aims to position itself at the forefront of the evolving digital commerce landscape.
