Syngene International Limited has appointed Gaurav Kushwaha as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Based in Hyderabad, Kushwaha will now lead the company’s digital and IT strategy, playing a key role in accelerating innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and enabling scalable technology transformation across Syngene’s life sciences operations. “Based in Hyderabad, he now leads the company’s digital and IT strategy to drive innovation, operational excellence, and scalable tech transformation in life sciences.”
Kushwaha brings with him a wealth of experience in digital transformation, IT strategy, and enterprise technology leadership across pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and telecom sectors. Prior to joining Syngene, he was the Chief Digital & Information Officer at Jubilant Ingrevia Limited. There, he oversaw the digital roadmap and IT strategy supporting pharmaceutical and manufacturing operations, focusing on business modernization and technology enablement.
His career also includes a nearly decade-long tenure at Indus Towers Limited, where he rose through the ranks from Deputy General Manager to Vice President – IT Architecture and Innovation. During his time there, Kushwaha was instrumental in implementing enterprise-level digital solutions and streamlining business processes, contributing significantly to the organization’s operational agility and tech-driven growth.
Earlier in his career, Kushwaha held prominent roles at several leading technology and consulting firms. His positions at Wipro, Comverse, Tata Consultancy Services, and Tata Power Strategic Engineering Division allowed him to build a strong foundation in IT program delivery, infrastructure transformation, and the deployment of emerging technologies in complex environments.
With over two decades of experience, Kushwaha has established himself as a strategic technology leader, recognized for driving digital-first initiatives and aligning technology with business outcomes. His appointment comes at a time when Syngene is expanding its digital capabilities to support innovation and global collaboration in life sciences research and development.
By taking on the CTO role, Kushwaha is expected to play a pivotal role in Syngene’s next phase of growth, helping the company harness digital tools and platforms to stay at the forefront of scientific innovation and operational excellence.
