Google’s AI Futures Fund Backs Emergent to Accelerate Its Agentic, No-Code App-Building Vision

Emergent’s rapid ascent in the agentic AI landscape has received a significant boost with Google’s AI Futures Fund investing an undisclosed amount into the Bengaluru-based startup. The fresh backing is set to accelerate the company’s no-code, autonomous app-building platform—an ecosystem already reshaping how founders, creators, and businesses turn ideas into functional applications. CEO Mukund Jha underscored the mission, noting that the platform is helping founders bring ideas to life regardless of technical expertise.

Since its launch in July 2025, Emergent has scaled at a remarkable pace. The platform now serves 2.5 million users and has reached a $25 million ARR run rate, signalling strong adoption and demand in the emerging “vibe coding” space. Supported earlier by Lightspeed, Emergent continues to push the boundaries of what agentic, AI-powered creation tools can deliver. As Jha explains, “We’re giving small business owners, creators, and entrepreneurs the tools to bring their vision to life, no matter the complexity,” while expressing that the team is honoured to build with Google’s Gemini 3 and receive support from the tech giant.

Google’s participation comes with strong endorsement. Jon Silber from Google shared, “Emergent’s work is helping people make their ideas a reality, breaking down barriers, and democratising access to the tools businesses need to build their technology stack. We look forward to supporting them on their journey as they build with Gemini 3, and we can’t wait to see what they do next.” The statement reflects Google’s confidence in the platform’s potential to democratise software creation for a global user base.

Central to Emergent’s appeal is its agentic AI engine, which allows users to generate fully functional apps without writing code—streamlining ideation, prototyping, iteration and final deployment. This capability places the startup squarely in competition with other next-generation creation platforms such as Lovable, Replit, and Rocket.new, all vying to define the future of no-code development.

As Emergent plans further global expansion and product innovation, the new investment is expected to accelerate its roadmap, strengthen its AI models, and broaden its enterprise and creator-focused offerings. With Google’s support and a rapidly growing user community, the company is positioning itself as a major force in the evolving world of autonomous software creation.
