
Govind Ballabh Joshi has been appointed as Vice President of Software Engineering at BlackRock, marking a significant advancement in his technology leadership career.
In this role, he will be responsible for driving engineering excellence, scaling digital platforms, and strengthening technology infrastructure to support BlackRock’s global financial services operations. His focus will include enhancing system performance, enabling innovation, and supporting large-scale enterprise technology initiatives.
Prior to joining BlackRock, Joshi served as Assistant Vice President at Citi India, where he worked on API gateway architecture and agile-driven development frameworks, contributing to modern, scalable technology solutions.
Before that, he spent over five years at Iris Software Inc., where he progressed through roles such as Lead Engineer and Senior Technical Consultant. During this time, he built strong expertise in web technologies, system design, and enterprise-scale application development.
Earlier in his career, he also worked with Orange and Tata Consultancy Services, gaining experience across diverse industries and strengthening his foundation in large-scale technology implementations.
With a robust background in software engineering, API development, and enterprise systems, Govind Ballabh Joshi brings deep technical expertise and leadership capability to his new role. His appointment reflects BlackRock’s continued focus on strengthening its technology capabilities to support innovation and global operations.
