Matix Fertilisers and Chemicals Limited has announced the appointment of Harminder (M) Bareja as Chief Human Resources Officer, Administration, and CSR. In his new role, he will lead strategic HR initiatives, strengthen the administrative framework, and guide the company’s corporate social responsibility agenda, supporting Matix’s accelerated growth in the crop nutrition sector.
Harminder brings with him over two decades of leadership experience across key sectors. Prior to this, he served for nearly seven years as CHRO, Admin, and CSR at Ion Exchange, where he was instrumental in transforming people strategy at one of India’s leading water management firms. His contributions included building strategic HR frameworks and leading compensation and benefits programs that supported business transformation.
Earlier, he held the position of Vice President – Human Resources at India Power Corporation Limited, where he focused on leadership and workforce development strategies.
During his six-year tenure at Reliance Infrastructure EPC, Harminder rose to Additional Vice President, where he led talent mobility, performance systems, and recognition frameworks. His work was recognized with multiple HR Strategy Awards and highlighted in industry publications for innovative manpower redeployment initiatives.
Harminder has also held leadership roles at Arshiya International, Reliance Retail, Pearl Global, and Abhishek Industries (Trident Group), where he played key roles in performance management, mass hiring, and cultural transformation initiatives.
With robust experience in industrial relations, compliance, and capability building, Harminder is expected to play a pivotal role in aligning people and purpose at Matix Fertilisers.
