In a move to strengthen Indo-Swiss collaboration in digital governance, HCLSoftware, the enterprise software division of HCLTech, has signed a strategic MoU with the Swiss Network in India—represented by the Embassy of Switzerland, Swiss Business Hub India, and Swissnex in India—to join the Indo-Swiss Innovation Platform.
Established under the TEPA (Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement) framework, this platform sets the stage for joint efforts in tackling critical public sector challenges through citizen-centric digital transformation across domains including GovTech, e-governance, healthcare, edtech, and agritech.
By bringing together stakeholders from government, startups, academia, and industry, the collaboration will explore new models of co-innovation that align with real-world governance needs, with a vision to create a robust Indo-Swiss GovTech innovation corridor.
“This MoU represents our commitment to building international partnerships that drive meaningful innovation in the public sector,” said Maya Tissafi, Ambassador of Switzerland to India.
Jonas Brunschwig, CEO and Consul General of Swissnex in India, added, “This strategic partnership can accelerate GovTech innovation and create tangible opportunities for collaboration between startups, researchers, and technology providers across both countries.”
As part of this partnership, HCLSoftware will contribute its Experience, Data, and Operations (XDO) Blueprint, a comprehensive framework designed to support public sector modernization. The focus will be on enhancing user experience, enabling data-informed decision-making, and streamlining service delivery across governance layers.
“We’re proud to support this cross-border initiative with our expertise,” said Kalyan Kumar, Chief Product Officer, HCLSoftware. “This collaboration is a significant step toward building scalable, transparent, and citizen-first digital ecosystems.”
Swissnex, a global innovation platform, has been instrumental in supporting nearly 200 Swiss startups to explore and validate opportunities in India—underscoring its role in fostering bilateral innovation and sustainable digital growth.
