HCLTech and NVIDIA Partner to Launch VisionX 2.0 for Industrial AI at the Edge

HCLTech has introduced VisionX 2.0, the upgraded version of its multi-modal AI edge platform, developed in collaboration with NVIDIA. The new release is aimed at transforming mission-critical industrial environments such as manufacturing, energy, and infrastructure by enabling real-time intelligence, stronger safety mechanisms, and improved operational efficiency.

The launch marks another major collaboration between a leading Indian IT services firm and a global AI powerhouse. As part of the broader momentum seen at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, large technology companies from India have increasingly aligned with global AI leaders to strengthen their enterprise AI offerings.

VisionX 2.0 builds upon HCLTech’s Intelligent Secure Edge capabilities and enhances them with advanced computer vision, vision language models (VLMs), multi-modal fusion, and edge-optimised generative AI. Unlike traditional cloud-heavy AI systems, the platform processes data directly at the edge using AI-powered hardware and software stacks. This ensures faster decision-making while reducing dependency on cloud connectivity—an essential requirement in industrial environments where latency, data privacy, and operational reliability are critical.

At the core of VisionX 2.0 is a multi-modal AIoT engine capable of analysing diverse data streams simultaneously. These include video feeds, audio inputs, still images, LiDAR data, and IoT telemetry. By bringing these inputs together in real time, the platform can detect anomalies, identify safety risks, and flag operational inefficiencies before they escalate into larger issues.

Security and scalability are also central to the new release. The platform incorporates a zero-trust security architecture and zero-touch provisioning, allowing enterprises to securely deploy AI workloads across distributed industrial sites. It is designed to integrate seamlessly with existing cameras, sensors, and enterprise management systems, making adoption smoother for organisations looking to modernise their operations without completely overhauling their infrastructure.

Through its collaboration with NVIDIA, HCLTech is leveraging NVIDIA’s physical AI computing stack to enhance VisionX 2.0’s performance. This includes NVIDIA Blueprint for video search and summarisation (VSS), NVIDIA DeepStream, NVIDIA Cosmos Reason VLM, and NVIDIA TAO for post-training vision models. Together, these technologies are intended to deliver high-performance, real-time processing suited for demanding industrial use cases.

“With VisionX 2.0, HCLTech is redefining how intelligence is delivered at the industrial edge,” said Vijay Guntur, CTO and Head of Ecosystems at HCLTech.

“By combining our deep expeĚise in secure edge engineering with NVIDIA AI infrastructure and AI models, we are enabling enterprises to move from reactive monitoring to real-time, trusted decision-making agents, where milliseconds matter,” he added.

Highlighting the broader industry shift, Deepu Talla, vice president, Robotics and Edge AI at NVIDIA, said, “The next wave of industrial transformation is being driven by Physical AI—real-time, multimodal intelligence that elevates peęormance, safety, and autonomy across global operations.”

The introduction of VisionX 2.0 signals a growing emphasis on deploying AI closer to where data is generated. By embedding intelligence directly into edge environments, enterprises can move beyond traditional monitoring systems toward more autonomous, responsive, and digitally resilient operations. The collaboration also comes shortly after the Tata Group signed a deal with OpenAI and Infosys entered into a partnership with Anthropic, underlining the accelerating push by Indian enterprises to deepen their AI capabilities through global alliances.
