HCLTech has elevated Praveen Kumar Mavila to the role of Director of Operations, marking a significant milestone in his long-standing career with the organization.
In his new position, Praveen will lead operational excellence initiatives, oversee large-scale delivery management, and drive strategic technology programs at the company’s Bengaluru hub. His role will be central to enhancing efficiency, strengthening delivery capabilities, and supporting HCLTech’s broader business objectives.
With an extensive career spanning 34 years, Praveen brings deep expertise across research and development, engineering services, and technology operations. He has been associated with HCLTech for over 13 years, during which he has steadily progressed through multiple leadership roles.
Prior to his elevation, he served as General Manager, a position he has held since 2022, alongside his responsibilities as Operations Director beginning in early 2026. Before that, he was Deputy General Manager from 2018 to 2021 and Associate General Manager from 2012 to 2018, contributing significantly to the company’s engineering and operational capabilities.
Before joining HCLTech, Praveen worked at Honeywell as a Technology Specialist, where he was involved in advanced technology and engineering initiatives. Earlier, he served as Specialist – R&D at Wipro ePeripherals, building his expertise in research and product development.
He began his professional journey at TVS Electronics, where he worked as a Member of the R&D team, contributing to early-stage innovation and engineering development.
Over the years, Praveen has developed a strong foundation in R&D management and engineering services, combined with deep institutional knowledge of HCLTech’s operations. His elevation reflects the company’s focus on nurturing internal talent and strengthening leadership to drive operational excellence and innovation at scale.
