
The Hinduja Group has appointed Ramesh Narayanaswamy as Group President – Digital and Data Intelligence, reinforcing its commitment to accelerating digital transformation and data-driven innovation across its diversified businesses.
Based in Mumbai, Narayanaswamy will lead initiatives aimed at integrating digital platforms, strengthening enterprise data intelligence capabilities, and building scalable technology ecosystems across the conglomerate’s operations. His role will focus on advancing the group’s digital strategy while enhancing operational efficiency, innovation, and customer experience through data-led decision-making.
Narayanaswamy brings nearly three decades of professional experience, including more than 18 years in senior technology leadership positions across global organisations. His career spans multiple roles including Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Operating Officer, where he led large-scale digital transformation programs and enterprise technology initiatives.
Prior to joining the Hinduja Group, he served as Group Chief Technology Officer at Aditya Birla Capital. In that role, he was responsible for driving digital innovation and technology modernisation across the organisation’s financial services platforms.
Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership positions at several international institutions including Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank, CIMB Group, Singapore Post, and High Tech Payment Systems. His professional experience spans multiple markets including India, Malaysia, and Singapore, where he contributed to large-scale digital transformation initiatives across sectors such as banking and financial services, e-commerce, logistics, and the public sector.
Throughout his career, Narayanaswamy has led major technology initiatives including the development of digital banking platforms, the launch of super apps, legacy system modernisation, cloud transformation programs, and advanced data engineering solutions designed to enable enterprise-scale innovation.
The appointment reflects the Hinduja Group’s broader strategy to strengthen digital integration across its business portfolio while leveraging advanced data intelligence to drive long-term growth, competitiveness, and operational agility.
Narayanaswamy holds a Master of Science in Public Policy and Technology from the University of Turin in Italy, an MBA from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, and an engineering degree from BITS Pilani. His combination of academic training and global leadership experience positions him to play a key role in shaping the group’s digital and data strategy in the years ahead.
