Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), one of India’s most active early-stage investment firms, has announced the launch of its new angel investment vehicle—‘IPV International’, a $110 million Category I Angel Fund registered under the GIFT City’s International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) framework.
This fund has been created to enable seamless cross-border investment opportunities in startups from early-stage to pre-Series A levels. The investment ticket size per startup will range from $100,000 to $1 million, allowing for a flexible deployment strategy across a diversified portfolio. The fund aims to back high-potential ventures operating in domestic and international markets, with a focus on innovation-led and high-growth sectors such as deeptech, SaaS, fintech, healthtech, and sustainability.
‘IPV International’ has already made its first investment in Cellivate Technologies, a Singapore-based deeptech company, signaling the fund’s global intent and readiness. The fund is now fully operational and actively scouting opportunities across various global startup ecosystems.
One of the key highlights of IPV International is its inclusive investor participation model. It allows Indian residents, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), and foreign nationals to participate in the fund. Additionally, investors are exempt from Indian tax filings if their only source of income is derived from the GIFT City investment structure—making the fund a compliance-friendly and tax-efficient option for global investors looking to enter the Indian and cross-border startup landscape.
The fund will operate entirely under the IFSCA regulatory umbrella, benefiting from a globally aligned and transparent governance framework, while also offering investor protections, operational flexibility, and ease of cross-border capital movement.
With this launch, Inflection Point Ventures further strengthens its role as a catalyst for early-stage venture funding and as a bridge between Indian and global startup ecosystems. The firm aims to bring more institutional discipline, diversified access, and collaborative growth to the angel investing space. Through IPV International, the firm looks to democratize access to promising startup opportunities across continents while providing startups with the strategic capital, mentorship, and cross-border scale necessary to succeed in competitive markets.
