Infosys has taken a significant step in scaling its AI capabilities by deploying over 300 Agentic AI solutions across client operations and internal platforms. This move highlights the growing enterprise adoption of generative AI (Gen AI), as companies increasingly turn to intelligent agents to boost productivity, improve decision-making, and drive operational efficiencies across various domains including customer service, business intelligence, software development, and operations.
“These agentic AI platforms are embedded within client environments, helping accelerate transformation,” said CEO Salil Parekh during the Q1 FY26 earnings press conference. He noted that Infosys has progressed well beyond pilot phases, and is now deploying AI agents at scale—both as independent tools and as integrated parts of core enterprise ecosystems.
In support of this transition, Infosys has already trained over 2.5 lakh employees in AI and Gen AI technologies. The company is also making sustained investments in next-gen platforms to enhance AI capabilities. This strategic focus has translated into strong business momentum, with $2.1 billion in large deal wins during Q1, the highest in the past four quarters, many of which include AI-led digital transformation components.
Financially, Infosys delivered a robust performance, reporting a 7.5% year-on-year increase in revenue to ₹42,279 crore, while net profit rose 8.7% to ₹6,921 crore, beating market expectations. The company’s operating margin stood at 20.8%, driven by improved pricing and seasonal benefits, which helped offset the impact of wage hikes and continued investments in AI capabilities.
On the industry front, Infosys noted weakness in sectors like manufacturing and logistics, but saw rising demand from energy, utilities, and telecom clients. Regionally, Europe emerged as the growth leader, posting a 12.3% YoY increase and maintaining its position as Infosys’ largest market.
Infosys’ aggressive expansion into Agentic AI signifies a key shift from experimentation to enterprise-scale deployment, aligning with global trends that place AI at the heart of digital transformation efforts.
