Kinshuk Gupta Joins TCS as Chief Communications Officer, Strengthening the Company’s Global Communication Strategy

Kinshuk Gupta has stepped into the role of Chief Communications Officer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), marking a pivotal advancement in his accomplished career. His appointment signals a major stride in TCS’s broader goal of enhancing its global communication and engagement strategy. Gupta transitions to the technology giant after a highly influential tenure of more than three years as SVP & Head of Corporate Communications at Bharti Airtel, where he was instrumental in shaping the brand’s communication roadmap for one of India’s largest and most dynamic telecom enterprises. Having led communication strategies across diverse industries—including technology, healthcare, FMCG, aviation, energy, and telecommunications—he brings a rich legacy of experience that positions him strongly to drive TCS’s narrative across global markets.

Gupta’s professional journey spans over two decades and includes significant leadership positions at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, GSK Consumer Healthcare India, Max Healthcare, Edelman India, Hanmer MSL Communications, and IPAN Hill & Knowlton. Across these roles, he has cultivated deep expertise in reputation management, stakeholder engagement, executive communication, and strategic media relations. His work has consistently involved crafting communication strategies for complex, high-visibility organisations and building strong relationships across stakeholder ecosystems.

In previous leadership capacities, Gupta oversaw communications and CSR for India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka at GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, where he partnered closely with senior leadership teams across regions. His responsibilities included shaping global narratives, guiding crisis management efforts, managing communication functions for listed entities, and ensuring strategic alignment across internal and external communication channels. His foundational years at organisations such as Max Healthcare, Vaishnavi Corporate Communications, and Protech India Limited enabled him to develop a strong grounding in corporate affairs and brand communication, setting the stage for his later leadership roles.

As he assumes his new mandate at Tata Consultancy Services, Gupta is expected to “leverage over two decades of diversified communications expertise” to drive the company’s brand voice and strategic positioning worldwide. His appointment underscores TCS’s commitment to strengthening its global communication architecture, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and deepening its narrative in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
