Malabar Group has named Shibin Chulliparambil as its new Head of Information Technology, entrusting him with strengthening IT governance and accelerating digital growth. With more than 23 years of global leadership in IT strategy, infrastructure, and transformation, Shibin brings extensive experience in steering large-scale technology initiatives across industries.
Before joining Malabar Group, Shibin served as Head of IT at Blue Star Limited, where he led enterprise-wide digital initiatives aimed at modernizing the company’s technology backbone. He also held the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Mafatlal Industries Limited, where he successfully executed end-to-end IT transformation projects that streamlined operations and improved efficiency.
Beyond corporate leadership roles, Shibin has also contributed his expertise as a senior advisor to Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute and as an entrepreneur through Vrata Tech Solutions LLC and Vrata Tech Solutions (VTS). In these capacities, he scaled operations across India and the UAE, driving digital-first approaches to business growth.
Earlier in his career, Shibin spent nearly a decade at Cipla, one of India’s leading pharmaceutical companies. At Cipla, he held progressive roles including Head – IT (IPD), Project Manager, and Technical Lead Project Manager, where he spearheaded IT infrastructure modernization and large-scale data migration programs. His professional journey began at HPH Systems Pvt. Ltd. and Clearpoint Electronics Pvt. Ltd., gradually evolving into global leadership roles in technology.
Recognized for his expertise in SAP S4 HANA implementation, IT security, change management, and digital innovation, Shibin has consistently been instrumental in creating strategic IT roadmaps aligned with organizational growth. His ability to lead complex transformations has enabled enterprises to adopt cutting-edge technologies while ensuring business continuity and governance.
With his appointment at Malabar Group, Shibin is expected to leverage his vast experience to further advance the company’s digital initiatives, optimize IT operations, and support innovation-driven growth strategies. His leadership is set to play a pivotal role in strengthening Malabar’s IT ecosystem and positioning it for long-term digital success.
