Rahul Agrawal has been elevated to Director, Software Engineering at Mastercard, marking a significant milestone in his long-standing journey with the organization.
In this expanded role, Rahul will lead software engineering strategy, platform development, and technology innovation initiatives, with a focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions to support Mastercard’s evolving global digital payments ecosystem.
Rahul has been associated with Mastercard for over a decade, during which he has held multiple progressive roles including Principal Software Engineer, Technical Lead, and Senior Software Engineer. Throughout his tenure, he has contributed to designing and delivering scalable platforms, leading engineering teams, and driving innovation across critical systems.
Prior to joining Mastercard, he served as Technical Lead at IGATE, where he focused on system validation, quality engineering, and delivery excellence. He also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at GoldenSource, building foundational expertise in enterprise software development.
He began his professional journey as a System Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services, where he developed a strong base in software engineering and technology delivery.
With deep expertise in system architecture, platform engineering, and team leadership, Rahul Agrawal brings a strong combination of technical depth and strategic thinking to his new role.
