Milind Pande Appointed Head of Marketing for India and South Asia at AWS

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has named Milind Pande as the new Head of Marketing for India and South Asia, signaling a key leadership shift as the company strengthens its presence in one of its fastest-growing markets. With a career spanning over 16 years across the technology, media, and consulting sectors, Pande brings a wealth of experience and insight to his new role. His appointment highlights AWS’s “deepening commitment to India’s fast-evolving cloud landscape, where businesses are increasingly adopting digital and AI-driven technologies.”

In his previous role, Pande served as Chief of Staff to the AWS India President, where he played a critical role in driving strategic initiatives. He also led marketing for the Independent Software Vendors (ISV) segment, helping accelerate cloud adoption among software partners in the region. Now, in his expanded capacity, he will oversee the overall marketing strategy for AWS across multiple industries in India and South Asia.

This new position places him at the forefront of key marketing functions, including brand positioning, demand generation, and go-to-market initiatives. AWS is betting on strong leadership to navigate the competitive cloud ecosystem, and Pande’s elevation is expected to further solidify the company’s growth trajectory in the region.

Pande’s career includes notable stints at leading organizations such as Vodafone India and Viacom18 Media Private Limited, where he contributed to significant digital and business transformation efforts. An alumnus of the Indian School of Business (ISB), he brings both strategic depth and operational excellence to his role at AWS.

As AWS continues to expand its footprint in India and South Asia, Pande’s leadership will be instrumental in crafting compelling narratives around cloud innovation and shaping customer engagement in a dynamic digital economy. His new role underscores the importance of aligning marketing with business goals in an increasingly AI-driven environment.
