Nitin Paranjpe Joins Kedaara Capital as Chief Mentor and Operating Partner

Kedaara Capital has announced the appointment of Nitin Paranjpe as its Chief Mentor and Operating Partner, adding significant leadership depth to the private equity firm’s senior team. This move aligns with Kedaara’s ongoing commitment to value creation through operational expertise and mentorship-led growth, particularly in its consumer and related investment verticals.

Paranjpe brings with him over 30 years of global leadership experience from his illustrious tenure at Unilever, where he began his journey as a management trainee in 1987. He climbed the ranks to become the CEO of Hindustan Unilever (HUL) in 2008, and later held several prominent international roles at the parent company, including President of Homecare, President of Foods & Refreshment, and Chief Operating Officer. He concluded his executive leadership stint at Unilever as the Chief People & Transformation Officer. “He continues to serve as Non-Executive Chairman of HUL.”

In his new role at Kedaara Capital, Paranjpe will collaborate closely with the firm’s sector-focused teams. “At Kedaara Capital, Nitin will work alongside sector-focused teams, especially in the consumer and allied investment domains, helping shape strategic priorities for both existing and upcoming portfolio companies.” His deep operational knowledge and proven leadership across multiple business functions are expected to guide strategic direction and transformation across Kedaara’s investment portfolio.

Beyond his responsibilities at Kedaara, Nitin Paranjpe also holds board positions at Infosys and Heineken, enhancing his influence in international corporate governance and strategic advisory. “He also serves on the boards of Infosys and Heineken, further amplifying his impact in global corporate governance.”

Paranjpe’s appointment signals a strategic push by Kedaara to strengthen its hands-on value creation model, blending investment acumen with operational excellence. His expertise in leading large-scale business transformations and developing high-performance cultures is seen as a strong asset to the firm’s long-term vision.

“His appointment reinforces Kedaara’s mission to create long-term value through deep operational collaboration and mentorship-driven growth.”
