OpenAI is reportedly in advanced discussions with major private equity firms to form a joint venture aimed at accelerating the adoption of its enterprise AI solutions. The proposed venture could be valued at around $10 billion, reflecting the growing demand for artificial intelligence tools across large businesses.
Under the potential arrangement, private equity investors are expected to collectively invest approximately $4 billion in exchange for equity stakes in the new entity. In addition to financial backing, these firms would also gain influence over how OpenAI’s technology is implemented across their portfolio companies, enabling deeper integration of AI into business operations.
The discussions involve leading investment firms including TPG, Advent International, Bain Capital, and Brookfield Asset Management. TPG is likely to act as the anchor investor, contributing the largest share of capital, while all participating firms are expected to secure board representation in the venture.
