Praveen Mishra has been appointed as Head – Security Architecture at IDFC FIRST Bank, strengthening the bank’s leadership in cybersecurity and enterprise risk management.
In his new role, he will lead the bank’s security architecture strategy, with a focus on advancing cybersecurity frameworks, enhancing cloud and infrastructure security, and building resilient, future-ready security capabilities across the organisation.
Praveen joins IDFC FIRST Bank from Liberty General Insurance, where he served as Chief Information Security Officer, leading enterprise-wide security initiatives and governance frameworks.
Prior to that, he spent over four years at YES BANK, where he held key leadership roles including Vertical Head – Information Technology Risk and Senior Vice President, as well as Vice President – Information Security, contributing to strengthening IT risk management and security operations.
Earlier in his career, he worked with DXC Technology and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, building deep expertise across IT risk, regulatory governance, enterprise infrastructure, and cybersecurity operations.
With extensive experience across banking, insurance, and technology sectors, Praveen brings a strong blend of strategic security leadership and operational execution to his new role, as IDFC FIRST Bank continues to enhance its digital resilience in an evolving threat landscape.
