Rakesh Chawla has taken charge as the new CEO of VML Enterprise Solutions Hub, India, stepping into the role with a rich background in technology leadership across global organisations. His career includes key positions at InvoiceCloud, Inc., Sears Holdings India, Amazon, AGNITY Healthcare, Microsoft, Monsoon Multimedia, BayPackets, and River Run Software Group, equipping him with deep expertise in digital transformation, cloud modernisation, and product strategy. At InvoiceCloud, he successfully led the India GCC and Centre of Excellence, and during his tenure at Sears Holdings India, he oversaw large-scale engineering and operations teams across Pune and Hyderabad. His earlier experience at Amazon—where he led engineering for Amazon Marketplace Tech and Amazon Kindle—further strengthened his capabilities in building high-performing tech ecosystems.
Throughout his career, Chawla has led transformative programmes in cloud migration, microservices architecture, SaaS engineering, Agile adoption, and large-scale product development. He has also played a pivotal role in establishing development centres, bringing critical capabilities in-house from partners like TCS and Infosys, and managing complex technology portfolios end to end. This blend of strategic and operational leadership positions him strongly to accelerate next-generation innovation at VML Enterprise Solutions Hub and drive the organisation’s vision for scalable, client-centric technology solutions.
