
Randstad India has announced the appointment of Cauvery Uthappa (She/Her) as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In this role, she will spearhead the organisation’s marketing strategy while ensuring alignment with both global and regional visions. With more than 20 years of diverse experience across marketing, communications, and brand leadership, Uthappa brings a proven ability to drive growth, storytelling, and customer engagement in highly competitive industries.
Prior to joining Randstad India, Uthappa served at Adecco, where she held senior leadership roles including Director & Head of Marketing, Communications & Public Affairs, as well as Associate Director and Head of Marketing and Communications – India. During her tenure, she played a critical role in strengthening Adecco’s brand positioning, building customer advocacy, and accelerating digital transformation initiatives that reshaped the organisation’s market presence.
Her professional journey also includes leadership stints at TeamLease Services Limited, Atos, Siemens IT Services and Solutions, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Across these organisations, she successfully designed and executed marketing, branding, and communication strategies that delivered measurable business impact and elevated organisational visibility. Earlier in her career, Uthappa also held influential roles at [24]7.ai and ESPN STAR Sports, where she contributed to developing high-impact corporate and consumer engagement campaigns.
Uthappa’s career is underpinned by strong academic qualifications. She holds an MBA in Marketing from the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, along with degrees from the University of Mysore and Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru. This combination of academic grounding and professional experience enables her to blend creativity with strategic business thinking, positioning her as an influential leader in marketing and communications.
Industry observers note that her appointment comes at a time when the talent and staffing industry is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by digitalisation, evolving customer expectations, and global workforce trends.
