
Reema Jain has stepped into the role of Chief Information Officer at Unilever, marking a significant leadership milestone within the global FMCG company. In her new capacity, she will steer the organization’s technology strategy and play a central role in advancing AI-driven innovation and digital capability across markets.
Expressing her enthusiasm about the transition, Reema shared:

Prior to this elevation, Reema served as Global Vice President – Digital Technology and Site Lead for the Global Capability Center (India) at Unilever. In that role, she was responsible for strengthening enterprise architecture and building global technology foundations. She also led the Global Capability Center’s India hub, focusing on scaling digital transformation and enhancing innovation across the company’s international operations.
Over the years at Unilever, she has held several senior IT leadership positions, including IT Director – Digital Supply Chain and IT Director – ERP Application Management. In these roles, she led complex digital, cloud, and integration programs spanning multiple global markets, helping modernize core systems and strengthen operational agility.
Before returning to Unilever in a senior leadership capacity, Reema was Chief Information & Digital Officer at Hero MotoCorp. There, she led a comprehensive digital transformation agenda across research and development, supply chain, marketing, and customer-facing platforms. She established robust capabilities in data science, digital engineering, cybersecurity, cloud, and martech, while also driving initiatives such as direct-to-customer platforms, customer applications, and financial aggregator solutions.
Earlier in her career, she served as Chief Digital Officer at Vodafone Idea Limited, where she played a key role in the company’s strategic shift from a traditional telecom operator to a technology-driven enterprise. Her leadership focused on building digital platforms, strengthening customer engagement, and accelerating large-scale transformation programs.
Reema also brings more than 13 years of experience from GE, where she held multiple leadership roles spanning ERP systems, operations, and enterprise technology transformation. Her professional journey began at Mphasis, where she started as a software engineer, laying the technical foundation for a career that would span over two decades in digital and technology leadership.
With deep expertise in enterprise digitalization, platform innovation, and large-scale organizational transformation, Reema is well positioned to guide Unilever’s next chapter of technology-led growth. Her appointment underscores the company’s commitment to leveraging digital capabilities, AI, and future-ready platforms to drive efficiency, scale impact, and unlock new growth opportunities globally.
