Mumbai, India — Renault Group has officially announced the appointment of Stéphane Deblaise as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Renault India, with effect from September 1, 2025. In his new leadership capacity, Deblaise will be responsible for steering the strategic direction and overseeing all business operations of Renault across the Indian market. He will report directly to Francois Provost, who serves as the Group’s Chief of Procurement, Partnerships, and Public Affairs.
Venkatram Mamillapalle, the current Managing Director of Renault India, will continue to play a vital role in the organisation. He will work alongside Deblaise, focusing on corporate affairs and supporting the development and execution of Renault’s mid-term growth roadmap in India.
Stéphane Deblaise, aged 52, is a seasoned global automotive leader with over two decades of experience within the Renault Group. He holds advanced degrees from Telecom Physique Strasbourg and IFP School, France. Since joining Renault in 2000, he has held several critical leadership roles across geographies. Most notably, as CEO of Renault Korea, Deblaise led a transformative initiative that repositioned the company as a global manufacturing and development hub for mid- and large-sized vehicles. His leadership also brought significant operational improvements, including the modernisation of the Busan manufacturing facility.
Renault Group stated that Deblaise’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for Renault India as the company seeks to expand its footprint in one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive markets. His deep international expertise and proven track record in managing large-scale transformations are expected to further strengthen Renault’s competitive position and drive sustainable growth in the Indian region.
